PBLA is partnering with Calgary Legal Guidance, and Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP to host the 11th Annual Calgary Legal Advice clinic. The Clinic will take place on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Like last year, CLAC 2021 will be held virtually by the phone and video conference in keeping with the commitment of project partners to maintaining public health and safety while providing pro bono legal services.
The clinic coincides with Alberta’s Access to Justice Week which runs from October 25 -31, 2021.
Members of the public seeking legal help could receive free, confidential advice from a volunteer lawyer for 30 minutes.
Given the virtual format for the event, assistance will be provided by appointment only. Appointments can be made by leaving a message on our intake line at 403-541-4804 from October 8 – 25, or by applying online here.
If you do not have access to a computer or printer, please call our intake line to coordinate a paper application submission in Calgary. Please note that while paper applications can be submitted in special cases, the advice sessions will only be available by phone or video conference, and not in-person.
Available appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be prepared to provide details of your matter, including opposing party information to our intake volunteers when booking. Appointments cannot be scheduled outside of the intake period.
