ECLC’s physical offices are closed, but it continues to help Edmontonians—over email and phone—who need legal help and have limited financial means. For those who need legal assistance, ECLC can be reached at 780-702-1725 or through its online Intake form.
CLG is currently not providing legal services in-person at its office or outreach locations. However, those seeking legal help are now assisting over the phone or electronically. CLG can be reached at 403-234-9266. CLG’s Volunteer Lawyers from Kirk Montoute LLP are also offering free Webinars in Family and Estate Law.
While CACLC’s offices are currently closed to the public, it continues to provide legal assistance through telephone appointments. CACLC can be reached at 403-314-9129 or through its online Intake form.
LLG's physical offices are currently closed but they are still available to assist with legal concerns. You can call them at 403-380-6338. Scheduled appointments will be conducted by telephone.
As part of SLA’s staged COVID 19 resumption plan, SLA has resumed new client appointments, in limited numbers, beginning the week of July 20, 2020. New client appointments will be conducted with our SLA summer student caseworkers remotely by computer link on Zoom. Read more about booking an appointment >>
If you are an existing client, please leave them a message at (403) 220-6637 including your name, telephone number and the nature of your call and they will do their best to return you call within 24 hours. They can also be contacted via email at admin@slacalgary.com.
SLS is currently open Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm by phone only. No walk-in appointments will be accepted at this time. You can also call them at (780) 492-2226.
The Women’s Centre of Calgary is currently only accessible by email or phone during operating hours. Legal and financial assistance is still available to low-income women—appointments can be made by calling the Women’s Centre at 403-264-1155 or emailing legal@womenscentrecalgary.org.
EFry Calgary's office is closed formally. However, they will continue to attend almost daily to assist with our clients who are limited for services and identity ways in which they continue to provide supports to the most vulnerable women who do not have options. Legal Organizations
LLA is continuing to accept applications for legal assistance, including Duty Counsel, at courthouses across AB. However, due to COVID-19, some of those services may be provided only by phone or video conference as determined by the courthouses. Legal Aid can be reached at 1-866-845-3425.
CPLEA’s office is currently closed to the public. However, they still continue to publish a variety of legal resources and host online workshops:
